No encontré analogía más simple para nuestro paso por la vida que el de una lágrima, es tan fugaz su existencia. Aparece en el lagrimal, hace un breve recorrido, tal vez por nuestra mejilla o por una mano que consuela con una caricia y de pronto, sin más, la lágrima se evapora, desaparece, deja de existir. Así es muestra vida, un breve instante, diminuto si lo medimos y lo comparamos con la existencia de la vida misma. La pregunta es si queremos que esa lágrima brote de tristeza o de alegría y qué recorrido queremos que tenga mientras esté viva.

El sherpa de las maletas perdídas

Hace mucho tiempo en algún lugar del Tibet, varios viajeros iban caminando por las montañas sagradas, de pronto, un yak se apareció sin avisar espantando al grupo entero. En especial, uno de los sherpas se espantó tanto que pegó un brinco enorme y al hacerlo, soltó todo el equipaje que venía cargando de uno de los viajeros. Las maletas salieron volando hacia el fondo de un barranco y no hubo forma alguna de poder recuperarlas.

Esas maletas eran sumamente importantes para ese viajero, especialmente porque en una de ellas llevaba escrita en una pequeña libreta, su autobiografía, la cual había estado escribiendo y retrabajando desde hace más de diez años.

Era tal su frustración de pensar en perderla que quería convertirse en cabra para bajar saltando por las piedras, conseguir una enorme cuerda par bajar escalando, o lanzarse al vacío del coraje que tenía. Pero de pronto se dio cuenta de su tonta ironía. Quería poner en riesgo su vida, para rescatar la pasada. Al percatarse de tal estupidez, decidió seguir adelante y comenzar de cero la vida que todavía no tenía escrita – elidealista

Solamente una pequeña reflexión: tenemos dos pies, con los cuales podemos seguir caminando y pasar de largo o detenernos y hacer algo, comenzando por agradecer que tenemos esos dos pies, que estamos completos y admirar a personas que como él, a veces están mucho más “enteros” que nosotros. Tengo la fortuna de conocer de cerca a una persona que no tiene una pierna, alguien que me admiro enormemente por su fortaleza humana y por su gran capacidad para tirar “pa’lante” pase lo que pase. Así que ¿pasar de largo o tirar palante? : )

Dicen que las arrugas son la evidencia escrita en nuestro rostro de lo que hemos vivido.
Aunque no se necesita ser muy anciano o tener muchas arrugas para tener un buen cúmulo de vivencias. Lo que sí es imprescindible es que cuando nos acordemos de ellas, buenas o malas, nos ayuden a reflexionar sobre ellas y qué aprendizaje nos dejaron. Todavía recuerdo cuando…

The story of a Man and a street

Have you ever thought how does it feel living on the streets? Have you done it, at least for a night? I mean actually sleeping on the street, and not because you were drunk but because you actually had no resources and/or no place to go to. Perhaps one night could be interesting, exciting or even a good story to tell about, but imagine for a moment that you actually ended up living on the streets, for whatever the reason, but you are there, trying to find a “warm” place, behind a door, inside a park, or even on the floor of an ATM (in case you are lucky and it is opened).

Well this happens every night, in every country, we all see these people, but sometimes ai feel that we are so used to their presence that either we take them for granted or we just avoid their presence by faking as if they weren’t there…. but they are.

For sure there might be a reason why they ended up there, but please, next time you see one, don’t avoid him or her, no matter what they did, I am sure they never desired to eneded up that way, just like you and me wouldn’t like that to happen to ourselves, so please, think of a way of helping them. Maybe you will think that throwing a coin is something, but actually it is not, because then they get used to begging. Instead, give them food, a shelter, an advice or as simple as an honest smile. Remember that person, if the circumstances were different, could have been you.
